Rice Krispie Chocolate Chip Cookies

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and Rice Krispies, being careful not to crush the cereal.
6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers appear slightly underbaked.
8. Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
