Serving Suggestions
This homemade bread is perfect on its own, but it’s also great for making sandwiches, toast, or
served alongside soups and salads. Top it with butter, honey, or your favorite jam for a truly
indulgent treat. Fresh, warm bread makes everything better!
Storage
Store any leftover bread in a breadbox or airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
If you have more bread than you can eat within that time, you can also freeze it for up to 3 months.
Just slice it before freezing for easy access to a slice whenever you need it. To reheat, wrap in foil and warm in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
Tips for Success
- Make sure your water and milk are warm, but not too hot. Overheating them can kill the yeast.
- Be patient! Allowing the dough time to rise is crucial for a light and airy loaf.
- If you want a shiny crust, brush the top of the loaf with a little butter before baking.
- To add extra flavor, you can mix in herbs, garlic powder, or cheese into the dough before the first rise.
