Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Step 2: Make the Brownie Batter
- In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until glossy.
- Add eggs and vanilla, whisking until smooth.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
- Mix just until combined — do not overmix.
Pour about ¾ of the brownie batter into the pan and smooth it out.
Step 3: Make the Cheesecake Layer
- Beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Add sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Mix until creamy and lump-free.
Gently spread over the brownie layer.
Step 4: Add the Cherry Magic
Spoon cherry filling over the cheesecake layer.
Drop small dollops of remaining brownie batter on top and gently swirl with a knife.
Step 5: Bake
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until:
- Center is just set
- Edges are slightly crisp
- A toothpick comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter)
Cool completely before slicing for clean layers.
