Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Layer Ingredients: Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apple filling.
Add Cake Mix: Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the caramel sauce. Do not stir; the cake mix will form a topping.
Add Butter: Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and chopped nuts if using.
Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling.
Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. It’s delicious on its own or topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
