Apple Oat Cookies (Flourless)

Step-by-Step Preparation

1️⃣ Prepare the apple

Grate the apple very finely.
If it releases a lot of juice, lightly drain it (not completely, because the juice helps with the texture).

2️⃣ Mix the wet ingredients

In a bowl add:

  • the grated apple

  • the egg

  • the honey

Mix until everything is well combined.

3️⃣ Add the dry ingredients

Add:

  • the oats

  • the cinnamon

  • the baking powder

Mix until you get a thick, moist batter.

If it seems too dry, add 1–2 tablespoons of milk or water.

4️⃣ Shape the cookies

Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.

Flatten them slightly with the spoon.
They do not spread much while baking.

5️⃣ Bake

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (350 °F) for 15–20 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden and firm to the touch.

6️⃣ Cool

Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.

They will be soft when they first come out, but they will firm up as they cool.
